About the fragrance
The bright and captivating Tobacco Sapphire joins Boadicea the Victorious's Sapphire Collection alongside Blue, Oud, Green, Aqua and Supercharged Blue. A smoky fragrance, reminiscent of a bygone era of old wood-panelled smoking rooms, is softened by spicy notes and an ambrosial blush of flowers, all underlined by touches of vanilla with oud.
Tobacco Sapphire radiates a decadent scent (a rich, sensual and luxurious perfume associated with temptation, excess and refined elegance): resinous woods radiate from the base together with benzoin, cedar, sandalwood and guaiac wood, shrubby cistus, patchouli, musk and, most important of all, tobacco. Boadicea's tobacco has golden caramel shades mingling with honeyed hay, moss and a light scent of singed paper.
The tobacco is underlined by a trio of beautiful floral notes: magnolia, an almondy dose of heliotrope and rose. A bloom of Hedione creates sparkling, refracting facets, and then, as a spicy finale, anise-like cumin and coriander, steeped in mandarin, frankincense and saffron, open like a sharp umbrella. Like a smoky gem set in the centre of the bottle's shield, this enchanting perfume smoulders and sparkles with a mischievous allure.
