This is an intensified, aged version of the original Interlude Man, containing 53% pure perfume oil aged for six months. The fragrance symbolises “a moment of respite” amid chaos. The composition opens with a burst of spicy oregano and pepper, which quickly move into a heart of deep resinous notes of frankincense, labdanum and opoponax. The long trail is formed by a rich accord of oud, leather and patchouli, making the fragrance even deeper, darker and more luxurious than the original.

What makes Interlude 53 Man an exceptional extrait? Usually a higher concentration of perfume oil means better performance (in particular, a longer-lasting sound), but the effect of oil concentration is far more complex and depends on each specific formula.

53% oil concentration, 24 weeks of ageing: 16 weeks of maceration, 8 weeks of maturation

A fragrance is usually a blend of a concentrate (containing the aromatic oils) and an alcohol base. Some fragrances may also contain a little water and additives such as liquid UV filters, stabilisers or colourants.
