Today the musky accord means white musks: synthetic molecules (Helvetolide, Galaxolide, Ambrettolide and others) that replaced animal musk, which perfumery abandoned long ago. Its plant source is ambrette seed. Musk smells of clean warm skin, fresh linen and a touch of powder.
