Wood Infusion is one of Goldfield & Banks' very first fragrances, inspired by the lush nature of the island of K’gari (Fraser Island) in the Pacific Ocean. It is a tribute to all the woods that grow on the island. The opening is bright sweet orange — a short, sunny introduction. In the heart, Australian lavender and Italian iris unfold — a powdery, buttery-earthy accord softened by warm amber. But the fragrance's true character is revealed in the base: creamy, sweetish Australian sandalwood album (Santalum album) meets dark, peppery agarwood — according to the brand itself, it is this pair that forms the two poles of the composition: sandalwood gives light, oud darkness. Musk and Indonesian patchouli add depth and longevity. It is a dense, noble woody fragrance with a tangible contrast of light and shadow.
