Hamid Merati-Kashani

Names: Hamid Merati-Kashani (English, French) · Хамід Мераті-Кашані (Ukrainian) · Хамид Мерати-Кашани (Russian)
Born: Germany
Specialization: Principal Perfumer at dsm-firmenich; author of the Parfums de Marly bestsellers
He spent his childhood among the rose fields of Iran — hence his love of fragrance. He trained as a perfumer at the German company Dragoco and later became one of the leading perfumers at Firmenich. His first fine-fragrance creation — Pegasus for Parfums de Marly (2011) — was an instant hit; Layton, Percival, Sedley, Oriana and Althaïr followed for the same house. He also creates fragrances for Goldfield & Banks, Fabbrica della Musa, Initio, Valentino and Carolina Herrera.
Merati-Kashani knows how to make a fragrance you want to breathe in again and again. His compositions are smooth, warm and very “wearable”: almond, vanilla, amber and spices combine with fougère freshness so naturally that the fragrance feels long familiar. It is this balance of luxury and comfort that has made his name known to niche lovers all over the world.
