Drawing on the signature notes and the mesmerising, bold aesthetic of this world, so close to perfumery, the fragrance is created from an exceptional selection of highly concentrated ingredients to deliver an unrivalled sensuality.

Legendary, intense, passionate. Habit Rouge, the first amber fragrance for men, was inspired by equestrian sport — the passion of its creator, Jean-Paul Guerlain. First released in 1965, the woody-spicy Habit Rouge with its rounded vanilla became an olfactory symbol of French elegance.

Drawing inspiration from the bold intensity of bourbon, Habit Rouge Parfum opens with rich rum tones, after which Guerlain's unique vanilla tincture, made by a special in-house process, unfolds perfectly. Combined with patchouli, it is this vanilla tincture that gives Habit Rouge's signature scent its unrivalled depth.
