He fell in love with perfume as a child — thanks to his mother's fragrance. In 1981 he joined Guerlain and worked there for about 20 years, becoming the first global ambassador of the house from outside the Guerlain family. In 2004 he opened the Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie boutique at Harrods in London, and then founded his own house, whose fragrances are today the benchmark of British luxury niche perfumery.
His style is luxury without compromise. Dove brings back to perfumery a high concentration of natural materials and the classic chypre and amber structures for which the great French houses were once loved. His fragrances are rich, dense and festive — perfumes for special occasions that last for hours.
