Vanilla Planifolia
1 fragrance with this note
Part of accords: Amber, Vanilla, Sweet, Gourmand
Vanilla planifolia is the botanical name of the very vanilla grown in Madagascar, Réunion, the Comoros and Mexico, which supplies most of the world's vanilla. So “vanilla planifolia” in a pyramid is classic vanilla, simply given its scientific name.
It sounds dense, sweet and creamy: dark pods, caramel, a barely smoky and woody shade. Perfumers use this name to stress natural vanilla rather than a vanilla accord.
