More about «Amber» →

“Dry amber” is a variety of the amber accord in which the perfumer deliberately removes the excess sweetness of vanilla and balsams. Instead of a dense “honeyed” amber, the result is a warm but restrained composition of resins, wood and a light minerality.

It sounds warm and dry: resins, labdanum, wood, a barely smoky and leathery shade, without sugary sweetness. Dry amber sounds more restrained and “grown-up” than the classic, which is why it is loved in unisex and masculine fragrances.
