Born in Grasse into a perfume family, he discovered his calling at 13 during a school internship that ignited his passion for raw materials and composition. For more than 15 years he worked at the Grasse company Expressions Parfumées, mastering everything from fine fragrance to cosmetics and home fragrance. He taught at the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris, in 2020 became a senior perfumer at CPL Aromas, and in 2023 moved to TechnicoFlor. For Clive Christian he created Blonde Amber (2022) from the Art Deco collection and Town & Country (2023).
“Perfume is above all an emotion,” says Ricord. He draws inspiration from music, painting and travel and compares his work to that of a film composer searching for the perfect melody for a scene. His fragrances are warm, atmospheric and luxurious — like Blonde Amber, where amber envelops blond tobacco in the spirit of Art Deco.
