Olivier Creed

Olivier Creed

Names: Olivier Creed (English, French) · Олів'є Крід (Ukrainian) · Оливье Крид (Russian)
Born: 1943, Nice, France — Died: 20 May 2026
Specialization: master perfumer and head of the house Creed in the sixth generation

A descendant of James Henry Creed, with whose London atelier, according to the house's tradition, the history of Creed began in 1760. As a young man he studied painting at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and in 1985 he took over Creed and ran it for more than forty years. It was under him that the fragrances that made Creed famous appeared: Green Irish Tweed (1985), Millésime Impérial, Silver Mountain Water, Virgin Island Water and Aventus (2010) — one of the most successful niche fragrances in history, created together with his son Erwin.

Olivier Creed saw fragrance through a painter's eyes: for him it was a picture made of space, light and freshness. His style is aristocratic freshness: green, citrus and marine accords on a noble woody and ambery base. Under his hand Creed fragrances became the embodiment of an elegance that never goes out of fashion.
