Nathalie Feisthauer

Names: Nathalie Feisthauer (English, French) · Наталі Фестауер (Ukrainian) · Натали Фестауэр (Russian)
Specialization: independent perfumer, founder of the LAB Scent studio (Paris, 2014); author of fragrances for Orens Parfums, Hermès, Amouage, Van Cleef & Arpels, Comme des Garçons

Her path into the profession began with a single fragrance — YSL's Opium, which was a revelation for her. In 1983 she became the first student without family roots in perfumery to be accepted into the famous Roure school (now Givaudan) in Grasse. Her career took off in New York at Estée Lauder; then came Givaudan (1983–2008) and Symrise (2008–2014). She created Eau des Merveilles for Hermès, Honour Man for Amouage, Gardenia Pétale for Van Cleef & Arpels, and fragrances for Comme des Garçons and Etat Libre d'Orange. In 2014 she opened her own independent studio, LAB Scent, in Montmartre.

Feisthauer values freedom — and you can hear it in her fragrances. She moves boldly from radiant mineral freshness to hot spices and colourful flowers, always with an unexpected twist. Her compositions are original, sensual and very personal — perfumery without templates.
