She studied chemistry and in 2000 graduated from the ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles. She worked for international perfume companies in Paris — from 2003 at Symrise, then at Takasago — alongside recognised masters. In 2014, together with her husband Alexander Urban, she founded Urban Scents in Berlin, and in 2023 moved her laboratory to Trieste in Italy. She also recreates historical perfumes together with museums and scholars — in particular for the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Pergamon Museum in Berlin.
Her style is minimalism, memory and matter. Le Febvre loves clean, laconic compositions in which every ingredient matters, and often turns to the history of perfumery. Urban Scents fragrances are modern and urban, but with a depth that unfolds gradually.
