Jacques Cavallier Belletrud

Names: Jacques Cavallier Belletrud (English, French) · Жак Кавальє Белетрюд (Ukrainian) · Жак Кавалье Беллетрюд (Russian)
Born: 24 January 1962, Grasse, France
Specialization: master perfumer of Louis Vuitton (since 2012); author of fragrances for Bvlgari and Amouage
Born in Grasse — the world capital of perfumery — he became a perfumer in the fourth generation: his father and grandfather devoted their lives to the craft. From 1990 to 2012 he worked at Firmenich, where he created olfactory symbols of the 1990s — L'Eau d'Issey for Issey Miyake and Acqua di Giò for Giorgio Armani. In 2012 he became Louis Vuitton's first in-house perfumer: he has created more than thirty fragrances for the house and opened a workshop for it in Grasse, at the Les Fontaines Parfumées estate.
Cavallier Belletrud is a perfumer of materials. He selects the finest raw materials from all over the world himself and builds compositions around them, without hiding natural beauty behind complex constructions. His fragrances are transparent, bright and feel very luxurious: every note sounds clean, and the whole fragrance is like a memory you want to relive.
