Benoist Lapouza

Benoist Lapouza

Names: Benoist Lapouza (English, French) · Бенуа Лапуза (Ukrainian, Russian)
Specialization: senior perfumer at Drom (since 2014); author of fragrances for Kilian Paris, Fendi, Kenzo, Anna Sui, YSL

In his youth he studied the cello, but since childhood he had dreamed of becoming a perfumer. After studying at the ISIPCA school he was taken under the wing of Pierre Bourdon — first at Takasago (1986), then at Quest (1991); later he worked at Fragrance Resources, and in 2014 joined the Drom team. His works include Live Jazz for YSL, Si Lolita for Lolita Lempicka, Fan di Fendi, Acquarossa for Fendi, British Bouquet for Atkinsons, and for Kilian — Angels' Share and Angels' Share on the Rocks from The Liquors collection.

Lapouza is a musician among perfumers: his fragrances are built like a score, with a precise balance of technical perfection and emotion. He loves nature, travel and cooking — he even collaborates with chefs — so his compositions often feature gourmand, spicy and “delicious” notes. Elegant, warm and very appetising.
