Aliénor Massenet

Aliénor Massenet

Names: Aliénor Massenet (English, French) · Альєнор Массне (Ukrainian) · Алиенор Массне (Russian)
Specialization: senior perfumer and vice president at Symrise; principal author of Floraïku and Memo Paris fragrances

She grew up in a family of artists and scientists, where artistic sensitivity was combined with scientific precision. Her path into perfumery was opened by the smells of her chemist grandparents' laboratory mingled with the paints of her artist aunt. She studied perfumery with Monique Schlienger, trained at Florasynth and Firmenich, worked for twenty years as a perfumer at IFF, and in 2016 moved to Symrise. Since 2007 she has been the permanent perfumer of Memo Paris, and she is also the principal author of Floraïku's fragrances.

Massenet loves contrasts and unexpected combinations: her fragrances are at once sunny and deep, fresh and warm. She constantly reinterprets her favourite materials — myrrh, labdanum, leather — showing them bright, “nomadic” and full of space. Independent, dreamy and bold perfumery.
