The violet accord joins two different notes: the violet flower — sweetish, powdery, slightly candy-like — and violet leaves, green, watery, with a cucumber nuance. Natural oil from the flower is hardly produced, so its scent is recreated with ionones — the same molecules found in iris.
The flower brings tenderness and retro charm, the leaves a cool freshness much loved in men’s compositions. Violet sounds beautiful with iris, rose, leather and woods.
