Rose (Morocco)
1 fragrance with this note
Part of accords: Floral
A variant of «Rose Centifolia»
Moroccan: warmer and more honeyed, with a light spiciness
More about «Rose Centifolia» →Morocco is one of the main countries for rose centifolia: it is grown at the foot of the Atlas, and the flowers give an absolute that perfumers value for its warmth and richness. (Damask rose also grows in Morocco's “Valley of Roses” near Kelaat M'Gouna, but in perfumery “Moroccan rose” most often means centifolia.)
It sounds warmer and more honeyed than the Grasse rose: dense petals, honey, a light spicy and barely fruity shade, a soft powderiness. Moroccan rose is sunny and generous — it makes floral compositions enveloping and “velvety”.
