Raspberry liqueur is a sweet strong drink infused with ripe raspberries, like French framboise. In perfume this note combines the juicy berry with the warm, heady depth of a liqueur.
How it smells: sweet, juicy and warm: ripe raspberry, berry syrup, a soft boozy shade and a faintly vanilla note. Raspberry liqueur sounds sensual, playful and made for the evening.
The liqueur note differs from fresh raspberry in its density and warmth: instead of a tart berry — a dark berry syrup. Raspberry ketone plays the main raspberry role here, while vanilla and boozy notes add the liqueur character.
What it pairs with: with rose — pink fruity-floral fragrances, with vanilla and chocolate — a berry dessert, with cognac — warm liqueur compositions, with patchouli — a dark fruity depth, with musk — a soft skin-like base.
Good to know: a bottle of genuine raspberry brandy takes several kilograms of raspberries — which makes it one of the most expensive fruit spirits.
