Jasmine (China)
1 fragrance with this note
Part of accords: Floral, White floral
A variant of «Jasmine Sambac»
Chinese sambac: the basis of jasmine tea, fresh and tea-like
More about «Jasmine Sambac» →China grows mainly jasmine sambac — above all for tea: in Fujian and Guangxi provinces fresh flowers are mixed with green tea in the evening, and overnight the leaves absorb their scent. That is how the famous jasmine tea came about, and with it “Chinese jasmine” in perfumery.
It sounds fresher and more transparent than Indian sambac: white flowers with a green tea shade, a light fruitiness and less “animalic” depth. Chinese jasmine adds cleanness, calm and a light oriental mood to a fragrance.
