More about «Chestnut» →

Glazed chestnuts are the French marron glacé: sweet chestnuts gradually soaked for several days in a vanilla sugar syrup and then given a thin glaze. It is one of France's most refined festive treats.

In perfume this note sounds sweeter and more “dessert-like” than roasted chestnuts: a soft floury nut, vanilla, caramel and a barely honeyed glaze, without the smoky crust. It adds cosiness and a wintry festive feel to a fragrance.
